CLAY TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

- CALL TO ORDER: The February 28th, 2024, Meeting of the Clay Township Board was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chair Andy Kietzman, and those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
- ROLL CALL: Present: Chair Andy Kietzman, Supervisors Jeff Haukebo and Mike Lichter via phone, Treasurer Brandi Ward and Clerk Kristina Case. Also in attendance Del Holz
- APPROVAL OF AGENDA: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the agenda as presented.
- APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
- A. Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes-January 24th, 2024: A motion was made by Haukebo, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes for January 24th, 2024.
- NEW BUSINESS:
- A. Brandi Ward sworn into Treasurers office 2/1/2024
- B. Citizens National Bank: Add and remove members. Discussion regarding safe deposit box. We have a fire proof room at townhall for documents.
- A. A Motion was made by Haukebo, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve authorizing Andy Kietzman be added to Citizens National Bank Safe Deposit box for Clay Township. In addition, authorization to empty and close the box.
- B. A motion was made by Haukebo, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the addition of signer, Brandi Ward, along with the removal of signer Del Holz.
- C. 2024 Township Road Map: Posted in townhall
- D. 2024 Clay Township Board of Appeal and Equalization: Meeting Thursday, May 9th at 9:30 am at Town Hall- 18650 290th St
- E. Township Short Courses: Course date is April 3rd
- F. Sentence To Serve: Currently the organization mows the lawn at the town hall. A motion was made by Lichter, seconded by Haukebo, and unanimously carried to approve paying Sentence to Serve $345.
- G. Forest Management Plan: Kietzman received a letter from Hubbard County Land Commissioner Cory Kimball to represent Clay Township. A motion was made by Haukebo, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve Kietzman representing the township.
- H. Building Application from Emcon: Application was for an address in Thorpe township. Application was returned to Emcon.
- OLD BUSINESS:
- APPROVAL OF TREASURERS REPORT: Ward presented his written treasurer’s report to the board. Adjust Lines 28 and 29. Line 28 s/b 591.04. Line 29 s/b #2619 $17.63 A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Haukebo, and unanimously carried to approve the treasurer’s report, to pay the outstanding invoices.
- ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Haukebo, and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
