CLAY TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

- CALL TO ORDER: The January 24th, 2024, Meeting of the Clay Township Board was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chair Andy Kietzman, and those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
- ROLL CALL: Present: Chair Andy Kietzman, Supervisors Mike Lichter and Jeff Haukebo, Treasurer Del Holz and Clerk Kristina Case. Also in attendance Brandi Ward
- APPROVAL OF AGENDA: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the agenda as presented.
- APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
- A. Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes-November 15th, 2024: A motion was made by Haukebo, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes for November 15th, 2024, with amendment to correct deposit dates for CD’s with Edward Jones.
- NEW BUSINESS:
- A. MATIT WC Premium Notice & Policy: Document included.
- B. AIS Funding: Mantap Lake, discussion followed. A motion was made by Lichter, seconded by Kietzman, and unanimously carried to approve a contract for services in the amount of $3,600 to support AIS funding on Big Mantrap Lake.
- C. 2024 Proposed Taxes Statement: Document included. Taxes going from $156 in 2023 to $162 for 2024
- D. Edward Jones: Case contacted regarding deposit dates for future CD’s. Trisha at office advised we need to get an application from each individual needing to be listed on the account. Case will take completed application to office.
- E. Treasurers Position: Brandi Ward, discussion followed. Current treasurer Del Holz will file annual 2023 reports. Ward will take over going forward. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Haukebo, and unanimously carried to appoint Brandi Ward to fill the treasurer position for the rest of the term.
- F. Meeting Dates: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Haukebo, and unanimously carried to approve the Clay Township’s meeting schedule for 2024 for the fourth Wednesday of the months of January, February, March, April, May, July, September, and the third Wednesday of November, all at 6:00 p.m., to be held at the Clay Township Town Hall. Annual Meeting March 12th at 6:00 p.m., to be held at the Clay Townhip Town Hall.
- OLD BUSINESS:
- APPROVAL OF TREASURERS REPORT: Holz presented his written treasurer’s report to the board. Add line 28 $3,600 Hubbard County AIS Big Mantrap. Line 29 $6,204.71 1/24/24 payables. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the treasurer’s report, to pay the outstanding invoices.
- ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Haukebo, seconded by Kietzman, and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 7:11 p.m.
