- CALL TO ORDER: The November 15th, 2023, Meeting of the Clay Township Board was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chair Andy Kietzman, and those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
- ROLL CALL: Present: Chair Andy Kietzman, Supervisors Mike Lichter and Jeff Haukebo via Speaker Phone, Treasurer Del Holz and Clerk Kristina Case
- APPROVAL OF AGENDA: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the agenda as presented.
- APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
- Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes-September 27th, 2023: A motion was made by Haukebo, seconded by Kietzman, and unanimously carried to approve the Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes for September 27th, 2023, as presented.
- NEW BUSINESS:
- Mileage Certification Map 2023: Submitted, Copy attached
- Liquor License: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the renewal of an on/off sale 3.2 beer license and an on-sale wine/strong beer license for Emmaville Inn.
- Remote Meetings: Purchase equipment for audio meetings via speakerphone. Discussion followed. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to authorize Lichter to research and purchase equipment to meet needs, not to exceed $300
- Helipad: Dirt work has been completed
- Treasurers Position: Brandi Ward, discussion followed. Current treasurer Del Holz will file annual 2023 reports. Brandi will take over going forward
- Department of Revenue: LBAE training, currently Jeff Haukebo has completed training.
- Cumber Construction: Holz recommends writing a check with signatures left blank to be completed when bill arrives for Nov since township does not meet till end of Jan. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to authorize Holz to pay Cumber up to $4,000 for Nov bill.
- OLD BUSINESS:
- Deep Lake Campground:
- APPROVAL OF TREASURERS REPORT: Holz presented his written treasurer’s report to the board. Correction line 15 and 16, Aug should be May. Holz recommends rolling Nov 25th CD payment into a new CD. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the treasurer’s report, to pay the outstanding invoices and roll over Nov 25th payment into a new 9 month CD.
- ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 6:43 p.m.
