CLAY TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

March 25th, 2026, 6:00 PM

  1. CALL TO ORDER: The March 25th, 2026, Meeting of the Clay Township Board was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Chair Andy Kietzman, and those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
  2. ROLL CALL: Present: Chair Andy Kietzman, Supervisors Jeff Haukebo via phone, Mike Lichter, Treasurer Brandi Ward and Deputy Clerk Kristina Case
  3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the agenda as presented.
  4.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
    • Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes-February 25th, 2026: A motion was made by Keitzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes for February 25th, 2026.
  5.  NEW BUSINESS:
    • Hubbard Enviromental Services: Received email from Eric Buitenwerf regarding Page property. Discussion Followed. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve reply to Eric that the township does not support the variance request. Due to road right of way township road and efforts to maintain road. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve Lichter drafting a letter regarding to run off on township road.
    • Hubbard County Sentence to Serve: Contract for Service. A motion was made by Lichter, seconded by Kietzman, and unanimously carried to approve sending a check for $207.
    • MN State: Received a letter with a check in reference to voting expenses. Advised in letter if using county for ballot and voting, can sign and turn the check over to the County for expenses they incur.
  • ROAD REPORT: Discussion regarding the work the tree service was doing along the power lines. Will overlap our brushing.
  • APPROVAL OF TREASURERS REPORT: Reports were discussed. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the treasurer’s report pay outstanding invoices.
  •   ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 7:09 p.m.
