Meeting Minutes February 25th, 2026

CLAY TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

February 25th 2026, 6:00 PM

PARK RAPIDS, MN 56470

1. CALL TO ORDER: The February 25th, 2026, Meeting of the Clay Township Board was called to order at 6:01 p.m. by Chair Andy Kietzman, and those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

2. ROLL CALL: Present: Chair Andy Kietzman, Supervisors Jeff Haukebo via phone, Mike Lichter, Treasurer Brandi Ward and Deputy Clerk Kristina Case

3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the agenda as presented.  

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
   • Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes-January 28th, 2026: A motion was made by Haukebo, seconded by Kietzman, and unanimously carried to approve the Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes for January 28^th, 2026. 

5. NEW BUSINESS:

• • A: LBAE: April 9^th 2026, 11am
  • B: 2026 Fire Contract, A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the 2026 Fire Contract.  
  • C: HCTA: Email received. Discussion followed will review next meeting
  • D: Austin Hess, inquiry about having a temp gravel pit on township land. Discussion followed. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to decline the opportunity to put in a temp gravel pit as this time.

8. ROAD REPORT: Proceed with regular management. Lichter will start getting bids on brush mowing for the spring.

7. APPROVAL OF TREASURERS REPORT: Reports were discussed. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Haukebo, and unanimously carried to approve the treasurer’s report, roll CD into another 12 month CD and pay outstanding invoices.

8. ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 6:38 p.m.
