CLAY TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

January 28th 2026, 6:00 PM

  1. CALL TO ORDER: The January 28th, 2026, Meeting of the Clay Township Board was called to order at 6:01 p.m. by Chair Andy Kietzman, and those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

  1. ROLL CALL: Present: Chair Andy Kietzman, Supervisors Jeff Haukebo via phone, Mike Lichter, Treasurer Brandi Ward, Clerk Dannon Kietzman and Deputy Clerk Kristina Case

 

  1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to approve the agenda as presented.

 

 

  1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes-November 19th, 2025: A motion was made by Haukebo, seconded by Kietzman, and unanimously carried to approve the Clay Township Regular Meeting Minutes for November 19th, 2025.

 

  1. NEW BUSINESS:

 

    1. AIS Boat Inspections: Received a letter requesting funding for AIS. Discussion followed. A motion made by Kietzman, seconded by Haukebo, and unanimously carried to send a check for $3888
    2. MATIT Workers Compensation Certificate: Certificate Filed
    3. 2026 Park Rapids Fire Department email: Discussion followed
    4. Short Courses for Spring: Bemidji classes on April 1st 2026
    5. LBAE: Haukebo advised he completed certification. Kietzman will also complete.
    6. Annual Census Report: Haukebo completed the report, 2 houses built 2025

 

  1. OLD BUSINESS:

 

  1. ROAD REPORT: Letter to residents will be going out in the mail regarding road maintenance in 2026. All properties that border a Clay Township road will be affected. Will discuss starting after February meeting.

 

  1. APPROVAL OF TREASURERS REPORT: Reports were discussed. A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Haukebo, and unanimously carried to approve the treasurer’s report and pay outstanding invoices.

 

  1. ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Kietzman, seconded by Lichter, and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 6:37 p.m.
